Kyushu and Okinawa are known for their warm climate and distinct cultural heritage. The region offers a rich variety of local foods, such as Hakata ramen, Nagasaki champon, Kumamoto’s horse sashimi, and Kagoshima’s black pork. In Okinawa, visitors can enjoy goya champuru (stir-fried bitter melon) and awamori (local distilled liquor). The region is also home to famous hot spring resorts like Beppu and Kirishima. Historically, Kyushu has been influenced by international trade, while Okinawa retains its unique Ryukyu culture.
